Staff of the Rites of Passage Abstinence Education Program in Ohio believes that program participants are having fewer encounters with the juvenile justice system. Staff at Better Family Life Abstinence Education Program in St. Louis would like to examine whether students in their program have higher school attendance rates than those who do not participate. Dr. Allison Hyra, evaluation expert, discussed how to test both hypotheses, including the type of information that would need to be collected, best methods for collecting it, how to analyze the data, and other important guidance.
