Government-Sponsored Evaluation Websites

Abstinence Education Grantees Training and Technical Assistance

Pal-Tech, Inc. is the prime contractor for the Community-Based Abstinence Education Training, Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Contract (CBAE T/TA Contract), funded by the Family and Youth Services Bureau in Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Through this site, abstinence education grantees can access technical assistance modules aimed towards helping grantees implement their programs efficiently and effectively, while complying with federal guidelines. The website also includes handouts provided by CBAE management such as the program specialist and the Office of Grants Management.


CDC Evaluation Working Group

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention maintain this website as an effort to promote evaluation in public health. The website provides an overview of the role of the Evaluation Working Group, highlights a framework for program evaluation, and additional resources that may help when applying the framework.


CDC Healthy Youth, Program Evaluation

The Centers for Disease Control’s Division of Adolescent and School Health provides its funded partners evaluation technical assistance including expectations and processes of program evaluation, resources such as handbooks, briefs, and guides, and journal articles dealing with youth-focused health issues.


Center for Program Evaluation

The Bureau of Justice Assistance within the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice maintains the center as a resource for state and local agencies that are planning and implementing program evaluations for criminal justice programs. The website contains information related to evaluations of specific program areas within criminal justice, as well as performance measures resources.


National Clearinghouse on Families and Youth

The National Clearinghouse on Families and Youth, maintained by the Family and Youth Services Bureau within the Administration on Children and Families, provides information and resources to the public to assist with programs and initiatives serving youth and their families. The website also includes a literature database as well as a calendar of events with information regarding conferences and trainings related to youth and family services.


Online Evaluation Resource Library

The OERL, which is supported by the National Science Foundation, was developed for professionals seeking to design, conduct, document, or review project evaluations. The purpose of this system is to collect and make available evaluation plans, instruments, and reports for NSF projects that can be used as examples by Principal Investigators, project evaluators, and others outside the NSF community as they design proposals and projects. OERL also includes professional development modules that can be used to better understand and utilize the materials made available.
